Having now taken a really close look at several episodes, I can now really see what Tad Stones meant about how one difficulty with the show as that the main characters had already gone through their major personal arcs in the original movie.

The show does seem to have a lot more original settings than the earlier series. Some were better-realized than others. I actually think the series was inconsistent on all levels, each to a varying degree, but that's what happens when you're producing 76 episodes for single season, I guess. The show still had a lot going for it, which I intend to highlight as much as I can with this series.

I think the series' realism was about the equivalent of Gummi Bears. Both series could even take place in the same world, one in Europe (I think Dunwyn would be the equivalent of medieval Britain), and the other in the Middle East (I think Agrabah would be the equivalent of the capital of the Ottoman Empire). There could even be a clan of Gummis in hiding somewhere in Agrabah!

-- RyanRyan Wynnshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00477919968924048814noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2756369649414088624.post-21216106206162967862014-08-31T15:57:14.753-04:002014-08-31T15:57:14.753-04:00Excellent job, as always, Ryan. It was more noticeable in this show than in earlier ones because some attempts were being made to provide a semi-realistic setting.Chris Barathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06845538037091279990noreply@blogger.com
